Training for Victims/Survivors of Domestic Abuse
Training to help you understand more about abuse and tactics and behaviours of perpetrators
The Freedom Programme runs every Wednesday morning & evening (during term time)
It is a 12-week programme that helps women to understand more about the abuse and also help them to understand beliefs held by abusive men and how tactics and behaviours are used to gain power and control of the victim.
Nearly all victims who attend the programme are extremely nervous about attending. You can be assured if you dont want to talk about your abuse that is fine. We talk about 'abuse' not necesarily your abuse. We pride ourselves in taking care of women when they arrive. We all understand how difficult it is to even walk through the door. You can start the course at any week (For example; if you start on Week 7 you could finish to Week 12 then come back and do Weeks 1 to 6. If you want to talk to us about the course before you decide - please ring staff on 575757
