DeniseDay for Girls is a project we have been running for just over a year. It helps girls in other countries to gain access to feminine hygiene products. These packs have been made by dedicated volunteers who attend workshops monthly at our centre. We were very pleased and proud to have taken 20 full packs to Issy in York so they can be distributed to the villages and to the girls who need them. Well done everyone involved - a job well done x Click here to download a newsletter or visit our Day for Girls page for more info

DeniseDays for Girls (DfG) is a world-wide project which involves women coming together to make washable, easy to use, feminine hygiene kits for girls in developing countries. In some countries, due to poverty, many girls have no feminine hygiene provision and can’t go to school during menstruation, therefore missing out on large parts of their education. (1 week in 4) WOMEN'S AID currently run small & friendly FREE, MONTHLY workshops (Thurs evenings) for women of all ages to help make up the low cost, cleverly designed kits, which are then packed by volunteers and delivered to the girls and women. ANY SKILLS (drawing round templates, cutting out, pinning, pressing with iron, hand sewing, machine sewing, etc) Click here for our A5 Leaflet or email Denise for more information firstname.lastname@example.org Come along to help make a difference and help change lives!
DeniseCould you or someone you know, have a collection tub in your office or on your shop counter to help raise money for domestic abuse victims/survivors? Every penny really does help and it all amounts up at the end of the year. If you would like a tub dropping off please give us a call or email email@example.com.
DeniseSome of our domestic abuse services would not be available if it wasn't for the success of our charity shops AND the charity shops would not be successful if it wasn't for the dedication of a great team of volunteers. Do you think you would like to join them in 'making a difference'? Could you come just for a shift to try it out? We need help in any area - sorting, pricing, ironing, cleaning, serving and/or till work? IT REALLY CAN BE WHATEVER YOU LIKE DOING For more information about ANY of our shops - pop in to have a chat (link to page) or call Angie on 07850 48 48 42 and she will be happy to chat to you.

This work has saved us thousands of pounds and will help us to raise much needed funds to sustain our support services, including those for children We have to continually fundraise and one way we do this is via our Charity Shops so the staff, volunteers, women and children at Refuge would like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for helping us x
