Day for Girls

Days for Girls (DfG) is a world-wide project which involves women coming together to make washable, easy to use, feminine hygiene kits for girls in developing countries. In some countries, due to poverty, many girls have no feminine hygiene provision and can’t go to school during menstruation, therefore missing out on large parts of their education. (1 week in 4)

WOMEN’S AID currently run small & friendly FREE, MONTHLY workshops (Thurs evenings) for women of all ages to help make up the low cost, cleverly designed kits, which are then packed by volunteers and delivered to the girls and women. ANY SKILLS (drawing round templates, cutting out, pinning, pressing with iron, hand sewing, machine sewing, etc)
