Women’s Aid provides DOMESTIC ABUSE TRAINING and awareness-raising sessions to many different types of learners, including practitioners, students, agencies, staff teams, victims & survivors, volunteers and the general community would all benefit from learning more about this serious social issue.
We currently offer 2½ hour sessions covering a range of DOMESTIC ABUSE topics and are pleased to announce the launch of our ‘Training For All’ Training Calendar for 2023.
Courses
This carefully curated selection of courses offers invaluable opportunities for anyone interested in building their skills and knowledge, particularly in the area of domestic abuse and violence.
Our training calendar is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of individuals, whether you’re looking to develop your career or simply want to increase your awareness of this social issue, we have courses that are tailored to your needs.
One of the key focuses of our training is on developing the skills and knowledge needed to support survivors of domestic abuse. Our courses cover a range of topics, from understanding the dynamics of abuse and trauma-informed practice, to supporting children and young people who have experienced abuse.
We also offer courses focusing on working with perpetrators of abuse, providing insights into the tactics and behaviours they demonstrate, and exploring strategies for holding perpetrators accountable and promoting their rehabilitation.
In addition to these courses, we offer training on a range of related topics, including the impact of domestic abuse on mental health, the role of social media in domestic abuse, and the intersection between domestic abuse and other forms of violence.

Benefits of Women’s Aid Training
One of the benefits of our training is that all of our courses can be delivered on Zoom, making them accessible to anyone, anywhere, meaning you can learn from the comfort of your own home or office, without the need to travel or take time off work.
Each session is accredited to 2.5 learning hours (Continuing Professional Development) and at just £10 per workshop, our courses are affordable for everyone.
