We were delighted to welcome a number of Ambassadors and supporters earlier this month, to our regular networking meeting and also, able to formally welcome Andrew Whitehead from TrusTED Handyman Services as our most recent Ambassador to join our Ambassadors scheme.

We host a quarterly network meeting, where ambassadors and supporters can come together to network and find out the latest news from Women’s Aid NEL.

This month, Denise Farman, our CEO told supporters about the tender for funding currently being prepared, which as well as continuing to deliver the essential services we already provide, will also allow us to extend the services we provide to the children of survivors of domestic abuse and a number of other important projects.

Our Corporate Partnership Scheme gives us the opportunity to work more closely with local businesses, who want to support the work we do by either a regular, monthly donation or by providing products or services to Women’s Aid and in return, promote their association with us on their website, demonstrating corporate social responsibility and raising awareness of domestic abuse in the process.

Andrew Whitehead, owner of TrusTED Handyman Services, has generously given his services to Women’s Aid NEL

for some time now and recently decided to formalise the relationship by becoming an Ambassador for the organisation.

Andrew offers gardening services, decorating, tiling, property repairs, maintenance, home improvements and handyman services to homes all across Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Humberston and surrounding areas.

And, as well as the fantastic service we and our service users receive from Andrew, he says that through his association with Women’s Aid, he has received a number of enquiries which have led to jobs for paying customers.

We believe that collaboration and close partnerships with local businesses and organisations is a great way to promote the work we do and offer support and training to employees and teams of our partners and Ambassadors, making more people aware of the prevalence of domestic abuse and empowering people to speak out and help expose it, with the ultimate aim of purging it from our community.
