Charity Quiz Night
What a great evening – 8 teams competed in the Lincs Quest/Midland Area Charity Quiz Night at the Holiday Inn to help raise over £200 for Women’s Aid
There was definitely a purple glow in the room as lots of members dressed in purple in support of our charity!
Huge thanks to Lis & Geoff and everyone who attended.
Grimsby Town Football Club contacted us when a man who purchases a corporate box every season wanted to donate the box for 4 games throughout the season, to families who were going through difficult times and could not otherwise afford to take the family to the football.
Our Mums and children living in Refuge had an amazing time.
They were all given their own football shirts and were treated to a fish and chip meal and drinks !
We wanted to say a HUGE thank you – whoever you are x
Day for Girls Success
Day for Girls is a project we have been running for just over a year. It helps girls in other countries to gain access to feminine hygiene products. These packs have been made by dedicated volunteers who attend workshops monthly at our centre.
We were very pleased and proud to have taken 20 full packs to Issy in York so they can be distributed to the villages and to the girls who need them.
Well done everyone involved – a job well done x
Visit our Day for Girls page for more info
Amazing support for an amazing woman
Our lovely Women’s Centre volunteer Michelle Windley, sadly passed away in January.
Donations in Michelle’s memory were requested by Michelle’s husband and children and raised an amazing £882.18.
Michelle spent her time volunteering at Women’s Aid supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse – a permanent memory to Michelle is being displayed in the Refuge.
What a great night !
Lis and Geoff from Lincs Quest invited members from Plus and Quest Groups

It was a really fun night and raised an amazing £325
Special thanks to everyone who came along
Support from the CO-OP
Wow! How beautiful are these !
Staff at our local CO-OPs have been busy making these beautiful cushions for our women and families here at Women’s Aid. We were absolutely blown away! There were so many and so much love gone in to making them.
As if that wasn’t enough, they also presented us a cheque for £3,495 !! to help some of our families through Covid. The money really has been a lifeline just to help women and children who are struggling in many different ways.
Thank you so much to everyone at CO-OP who has helped, we really do appreciate it
Love from staff, volunteers, women and children at Women’s Aid x

ENGIE send their support
A group of workers from Engie gave up a day at work to give their time to support Women’s Aid
Staff from Engie gave up 2 working days to come and help us to do some much needed work in the back of our Hainton Square Charity Shop
They all worked tirelessly taking down walls, cleaning, plaster boarding and filling 2 huge skips !
This work has saved us thousands of pounds and will help us to raise much needed funds to sustain our support services, including those for children
We have to continually fundraise and one way we do this is via our Charity Shops so the staff, volunteers, women and children at Refuge would like to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for helping us x
Engie staff volunteer to wrap Christmas presents for children in Refuge
These amazing women spent hours and hours wrapping hundreds of presents for refuge mums and children
The gifts were all kindly donated by people who wanted to buy a gift for those living in Refuge over Christmas
It was truly magical – they ended up finishing nearly 50 sacks of presnts for mums and children
Women’s Aid wants to thank everyone involved for all their hard work and thank you Engie for choosing to support our Charity this year x
