Wow! What a night, when The Stallingborough Grange Hotel hosted a fabulous quiz night, last week, to raise funds for Women’s Aid NEL.
Lots of local businesses and groups entered teams, as well as individuals joining in, to raise over £1600 on the night, to support the work we do with women and children across NE Lincs.
We were delighted and thrilled when the team at The Stallingborough Grange Hotel contacted us to suggest the idea and within just a few days, there were teams from all around Grimsby and the surrounding area signed up for the evening, with literally dozens of people taking part.
We just love it when people offer to support us.
As well as those taking part, many businesses, organisations and individuals donated raffle prizes, which helped to swell the total takings on the night and we wanted to thank everyone for their generosity and the lovely donations that certainly put smiles of the winner’s faces!
The teams were challenged with questions from a range of subjects, including:
- General Knowledge
- NE Lincs local knowledge
- Music Quiz
- Film & Television Quiz
- And a Spelling Test! (which always raises a few laughs and some red faces!!)
And the overall winners were the lovely team from The Caxton Theatre in Grimsby

A fun night was had by all who attended and we can’t thank them enough for the support they give to Women’s Aid NEL, to allow us to continue to support survivors of domestic abuse in NE Lincs.
