Housing Development Manager

Location: Town Centre, Grimsby | Hours: 37½ | Salary: £24,589

Women’s Aid provide support and accommodation for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.   We are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic and friendly person to lead this new, exciting, and very long-awaited project.

The successful candidate will manage, develop, plan and lead on our new ‘Housing Development Project’, ensuring delivery of an excellent and innovative client focused housing service to be proud of.  You will be instrumental in the development of building up a property portfolio of safe, quality, affordable housing.

You would be responsible for purchasing and managing properties, managing buildings work, décor and maintenance, client tenancy and rent management. You would also be responsible for the monitoring of targets and reporting on the project.  You will need to ensure best practice throughout; developing Women’s Aid’s reputation as an excellent provider of quality affordable housing. As the project develops you will eventually lead and manage additional housing support staff.

Relief Refuge Support Worker

Location: Town Centre, Grimsby | Hours: As & when | Salary: £8.72ph

We are looking for a kind and friendly person who shows empathy and can offer crisis support in a caring and non-judgemental way.  This post could offer someone the opportunity to begin or develop their career in domestic abuse services.

The nature of the work undertaken means that this invitation is for women only and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010

Main tasks are to;
– provide an immediate and safe place for women and children who are escaping domestic abuse
– be responsible for supporting the women, assessing their risk and safety planning
– take part in refuge out of hours ‘on-call’ phone service including occasional call-outs for admissions

The dates and times are on an ‘as and when’ basis and include covering sickness, holidays and weekends
