Here at Women’s Aid NEL, we always aim to be involved with things going on in the local community and Grimsby’s thriving business network and recently, we were encouraged to enter the Great Big Small Awards, entirely dedicated to recognising the small, local businesses, organisations and entrepreneurs in North East Lincolnshire.

And we’re so happy we did!

We entered a couple of categories but we’re now excited to be able to tell you and so proud to announce that we brought home the award for…

Denise was thrilled and clearly emotional receiving her award and said…

“I would like to thank trustees for nominating me and for believing in me. I was totally overwhelmed, tearful and emotional with all the people cheering and clapping.

I would like to accept the award for my team too, the success of Women’s Aid is not down to one person but lots of people doing different jobs and I am so proud to lead such a team x”

The event was hosted by e-factor business and was held at Grimsby Town Hall on Friday 6th October and attended by many of the region’s small businesses and local business leaders.
