Refuge Team Leader
The refuge offers a comprehensive accommodation and support service for women and children who have to leave their homes due to domestic abuse.
We are looking for a passionate and friendly Refuge Team Leader to offer support, practical help, advice and information to women who are and have been experiencing abuse.
The applicant must have experience in managing a team that supports individuals and or families. They will need to have a good understanding of Domestic Abuse, managing risks and assessing safety. The applicant will need to be involved in planning, monitoring, and support file management.
The applicant will need to support staff to provide an overnight ‘on call’ rota for emergencies and a weekend rota.

We are looking for someone to support and manage our amazing team of volunteers who help in our support projects – Refuge, DA Hub & Women’s Centre. You must have experience in supporting a staff or a volunteer team. You will recruit and train volunteers in a variety of settings and buildings (not retail volunteers). You will manage rotas and will coordinate our reception areas and ensure all visitors and clients feel welcomed and supported (for some clients, this is their first time getting help or support).
