This summer, two incredible young people chose to take part in the Humberside Police Lifestyle Project and dedicate their time to supporting children through North East Lincolnshire Women’s Aid.

Their mission? To raise £500 for our children’s services.

They didn’t just reach that target — they absolutely smashed it, raising £732.50 including Gift Aid. That’s 147% of their goal.

What They Achieved

Thanks to their determination and the generosity of local supporters, they were able to:

  • Raise over £700 to support children who have lived through domestic abuse

  • Purchase iPads, toys, and resources to help children learn, play, and feel safe in refuge

  • Deliver the items directly to our team and see the impact of their hard work first hand

Why It Matters

Children who come into refuge often arrive with very little. Many are trying to make sense of difficult experiences and rebuild their confidence.

The donations raised by our Freedom Fighters will make a genuine difference by:

  • Creating opportunities to play and learn

  • Helping children connect with schoolwork and friends

  • Providing comfort during a time of uncertainty

  • Showing children that their community cares about them

A Huge Thank You

We couldn’t be prouder of our Freedom Fighters. Their kindness, determination, and energy have not only smashed a target but have also given children brighter days and better futures.

👏 Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported their efforts.

Together, you’ve shown the real power of community.
